Tasting Notes Colour: Deep crimson with purple hues. Nose: Lifted red and black fruit aromas leap from the glass on opening. This initial aroma profile is further complemented by a rich overlay of dark cedary and chocolate oak aromas. Palate: The palate is rich, dense and concentrated showing a typical Wilyabrup flavour profile of mulberry, cassis and rich chocolatey flavours. The tannins are long and sleek, complementing the rich oak overlay to this wine. The finish is long and concentrated with excellent persistence of flavour. Drink now for freshness or cellar for 8-10 years to reveal a deeper expression of this wine.
Wine Reviews

Ray Jordan 91 “Another excellent stylish cabernet from this small producer. I love the elegance and form with classic leafy blackcurrant aromas and a tight and powerful palate. Chalky tannins are firm and the oak adds a little astringency. Focus and linear in structure with a lingering finish. Cellaring potential here as well.”

Decanter 90 “Fragrant nose of pencil lead and distinctive spice. Ripe and opulent palate – a deep, concentrated wine with hints of eucalyptus, savoury overtones and soft, creamy tannins. Big, impressive style.” Highly recommended.
